Working together for the flourishing of our community…
Since 2018 New City has been engaged in partnerships for the flourishing of our community. Through after-school enrichment clubs, summer camps, sports, music, internships, and community gardening we’ve been hard at work seeking the good of our city.
Our goal is to see our neighbors in the Burroughs Elementary School zone flourish socially, economically, and spiritually. To that end we strive together, partnering with people and organizations both in and outside of our context.

Seek the peace of the city
New City Kids Club
New City Kids Club gathers Wednesdays at Burroughs Elementary for a fun-packed afternoon of learning, singing, playing, and crafting. Through stories and art, younger elementary students develop critical listening and fine motor skills in a relationally supportive environment. Our skilled mentors encourage and engage children as they navigate the challenges of primary school.
New City Internship
Our semester-long internships are designed to raise up the next generation of leaders. With a carefully crafted mentorship plan in place, these gifted individuals pour into students in our community.
New City Music Club
New City Music Club works with upper-elementary students giving kids in our neighborhood the opportunity to learn an instrument. Once a week during the school year, our certified music educator teaches music fundamentals and instrumental technique on site at Burroughs Elementary. The kids also get to take home an instrument to practice for each week’s lessons.
Summer Music Camp
New City Music Camp is a week long summer day camp where students can learn guitar, voice, and drums in a fun, faith-filled environment. We will be sharing God’s love and goodness through music while creating memorable experiences for families in our neighborhood. Building on our work with the Burroughs Instrument Ensemble, participants will take part in workshops, group performances, and daily activities aimed at inspiring a love for music.
